What I want in my Easter basket

I love love love Easter! This one is extra special because it will be the last one that we celebrate in my parent's house. They are moving a few hours away from me and Colin so this is like the last family dinner in their house. I am a little upset about them moving because I am so attached to their house, we had so many good (and bad) times there but it is what is best for them and my sisters. 

I have been stressing out about what to put in Colin's Easter basket but he is a guy so he isn't too horribly hard to buy for. I figured since I am having out of this world cramps and can't sleep, I should show you what I want in my Easter basket!

1st Choice:

I have never had a kitten before, my Dad is allergic to them, but I was in Petland the other day and these two little kittens were playing and I fell in love! I want one so bad! Now that I don't live with my Dad anymore, why not?

2nd Choice:

This is a fossil watch that I have been lusting after since November! If Colin isn't ready for a kitten I will def settle for this watch.

I know that I will NOT be getting the following item because Colin doesn't even know what LUSH is but, it is worth mentioning.

LORAC Starry-Eyed Baked Shadow

I love baked shadows and during the summer I wear a lot of golds and browns. This shadow seems perfect for me!

I can't wait for Easter. I would do a post on what I am getting Colin but I think that would be totally boring so for now, I won't do it. I know that I am not going to get make up and Lush but they are def on my "To Buy List" for after Easter. 

Just a reminder

My husband thought I was going crazy when he saw my computer screen tonight. It is three different pictures from Victoria's Secret's website. Why, you ask? Because I want to remind myself what I working towards in the next few months. Motivation to actually run like I am supposed to. Or you know, use the gym membership that I pay for.

A new bag?

I have been carrying the same bag for awhile now. It is a Jessica Simpson Handbag and the texture of it is like this one:

The one I have is in her "shopper" collection and it is a much darker purple. You actually have to get really close to it to realize that it is purple. It won't let me drag the picture of the one I actually have though. My Mom got it for me for Christmas because I love the color purple. Hey, that was a movie. 

I liked this purse a lot because of the zipper pocket on the outside that faces your body when you hold it. I kept my keys, cell phone, debit card and ID in there and never had to worry about it because it was right up against my body.

The bad part of this bag is that it is heavy. I carry a lot of things on a daily basis so I really don't need a purse that is heavy before I put my things in it. If I didn't carry so much stuff it would be okay but when I get home from shopping or being out for a whole day my back and shoulder literally hurt from how heavy it is. Tonight I decided that I can't stand it anymore and went back to my old faithful.

Sorry for the arm pictures, you guys can not see me tonight. It is not a fun sight. I am trying my self tanner again tonight and my hair is all thrown up!

Anyway the point of this blog is to say that I deeply want a new bag. The problem with my old faithful is that it has one side pocket in the inside and that is it. I am really interested in finding a purse with a lot of pockets so I can keep my purse way more organized. I will continue on my online search and let you know what I find!

Yes, around once a week

I only have a few and they aren't noticeable :( I think freckles are CUTE!

Do you use eye cream? 
Yeah, twice a day. Philosophy's Hope in a Tube

Yes I do. I only break out around THAT time of the month though.
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ? 
No. I found that systems like Pro-activ were too harsh for my skin.

MAKE-UP
What foundation do you use? 
Mark Flawless Touch Foundation.. Usually mixed with a moisturizer. Some times I use Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. It all depends on how much coverage I need
How about concealer? 
I use my Mark foundation as concealer when I use my mineral foundation. When I use a liquid foundation, I don't use concealer.
Do you know your undertone color?
Nope.
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I use them for special events. My make up artist that does my make up for those types of things is such an expert with them. They look natural but amazing. 

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months? 
Yeah! I don't want eye infections. 

What brand of mascara do you use?
It doesn't get any better than Diorshow!

Sephora
Do you have a MAC Pro-card? 
No. I actually don't own any MAC products.
What makeup tools do you use in make up application? 
Brushes mainly but I also use cotton swaps 

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes? 
No but I have used Laura Geller Eye Spackle before and it works well. I also want to try Urban Decay Primer Potion.
For the face? 
Sometimes. Most of the time I just don't think it is necessary.

What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Laura Geller is my favorite brand of eye shadows. She has a shadow pot that has brown and gold in it.. I don't know what the colors are called off hand but I use it every day almost.
Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner? 
Pencil

Rarely.
What do you think of pigment eyeshadows? 
I love them. I use a lot of them from Bare Escentuals.

I am honestly not a lipstick person at all. I wear glosses.

No, that is what my youtube beauty gurus like Elle, Blair, and Kandee are for!

If I have to wake up early... Ugh, I am not a morning person
Name a makeup crime that you hate? 
Over done blue eyeshadow. I love blue eyeshadow, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I should see your eyeshadow before I see you and that seems to happen a lot, especially with blue. 

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones? 
Both. It depends on my mood, the time of day, and where I am going.
Which celebrity always has great make up?
Kate Walsh, Jessica Simpson, and Mandy Moore usually always get it right. Miley was gorgeous at the Oscars though. She got it right for once :)
If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use? 
Eyeliner. Or foundation depending on how my skin was looking that day.Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes, I do it a good bit. I think it is important to go without make up when you can. Give your skin time to breathe!
Do you think you look good even without any makeup on? 
Yes, but I prefer myself with make up on.
In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I couldn't even try to answer this because my make up collection is piecey. What I mean by that is that one piece will be from Bare Minerals, another from Revolon, Dior, Philosophy. There is never a time that I have on all of one brand,

I absolutely love it. It allows women to feel good about themselves and love the way that they look when they need a pick me up!

A Saturday off of work!

Hello All!
Today I was off of work which is very odd! I am never off of work on Saturdays and I must say that it was blissful. I reaffirmed my belief in birth control by babysitting my wonderful little sister so my Mom could have some sane time. I love kids, I do, but I also want some time before I have one. While they were here I cleaned the apartment. I still had wedding gifts that I hadn't put up yet! Lazy me! Then Colin came home from his paintball game (an every Saturday thing) and my Mom picked the girls up. We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to exchange a gift, Michaels to pick up thank you cards and the mall to get my sister a birthday gift.




Yay for Bed, Bath, and Beyond exchange! Silverware Drawer Organizer:

Confession time, I totally unwrapped the soundtrack and downloaded it onto my computer. What can I say? I love High School Musical as much as my sisters do!

Self Tanner!

Hi guys,
I know that I haven't been blogging a lot lately but I am trying to get back into the swing of things! First off, I tried a self tanner last night! Only on my face though. I was looking for a nice healthy glow not really a deep tan. This tanner gave me a very light color. I am going to try it again tonight and see if I can get a little more color. I tried to take pictures but my camera always makes me look washed out anyway so there was no point!

This is Clarins Tanning Milk. Like I said, it didn't give a lot of color but I could tell a difference. It is a little pricey at $32.00. Luckily, my Mom gave this product to me. Is it bad that I almost don't want to like it because of the price? I don't really need ANOTHER fairly expensive beauty staple! 

Secondly, I am going to try to get back into my work out plan this week. I was using Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred alternating with gym days. I have been eating horribly lately and I can really tell in my face. I have to get back down to reality instead of in No Motivation Land. Sure, it is fun to hang out there every now and then, but I don't want to move there.

Married Life

I know that I suck at keeping up with this blog lately. I have been so preoccupied with getting our apartment how I want it, working, and then there is just being married, that I haven't had a lot of blogging time. So far married life is going great! It isn't a whole lot different but it is still exciting. We have started a whole new chapter in our life... Maybe a whole new book.. Either way, it is going great so far. I know, I know, things are going to go wrong and we will have problems but right now I would rather enjoy the good times then dwell on the inevitable bad times.

This will go back to being a shopping blog soon, I promise. Not that I have the funds for a lot of shopping but I still need to show you my raincoat! And I should show you around the apartment. I am really proud of how it is turning out. I just wish we could paint... Oh well, that is all for now!
