Lust Haul

Hello, Hello!

This blog is sadly pretty neglected at this time.  I spend most of my time that I have to blog on my baking blog. I will try to get better at blogging! I promise!

Most of you probably already know that I love Lush Products. My Mom used to use a few of the products and would occasionally get me a few for special events but living in Southern MS, Lush stores did not exist lol. Fast forward several years, I moved to Chicago and fell in love all over again. In Chicago, Lush stores are not hard to come by at all and I frequently visit them :)

When Colin's parents came to Chicago for Christmas I introduced them to Lush and they now love it! This week, we are in St Louis visiting them so his Mom and I hit their local Lush store and picked up a few goodies.

I bought two things from their Valentines Day line:
Description from the website:
"Bathtime voodoo! Its musky, creamy scent and dissolvable limbs make for a wickedly fun bath."
This smells great. If I had to describe the scent, I wouldn't call it "musky". I would say creamy vanilla. I can't wait to use it!

Description from the website:
"An enchanting toadstool of strawberries and cream bubbles."
I agree with this description, it does smell very sweet like strawberries and cream.
This bubble bar will last for at least 2 baths, maybe more. A common misconception about bubble bars is that you have to use them all at once which is not true. I have gotten FIVE baths out of one before. It just depends on how much you use.

And two products that were not in the Valentines line:

I don't know why it has taken me this long to purchase this product. I am a freak for all things mango scented.
Description from website:
"Lemongrass and mango butter tropical melt for an soft skin and a sunny outlook."
The saleslady that was helping me said that it will feel like I am bathing in lotion the water will be so soft. I think I like that :) Oh, and it smells AMAZING.

Description from the website:
"The green one for steam cleaning congested and oily skin."
I couldn't contain my curiosity about this little guy so I had to pick one up.

That is all I got from the St Louis Lush store but little did I know that my MIL had gotten me a gift set in the After Christmas Sale.

The Christmas Star Gift Set
This is not online anymore but I will show you each individual gift that came inside.

Description from the website:
"A soothing soaker for seasonal chills"
A saleslady in the Chicago store once told me that this has pop rocks on top to simulate a fire cracking. Or chestnuts roasting.

Description from the box insert:
"Looks like pudding, smells like pudding, fizzes like a spicy bath bomb"

Description from box insert:
"A carpet of apple-scented snow from our Baby Bomb with added froth"

Description from box insert:
"Plunge yourself into a deep, spicy ginger-scented bath"
Yes, I think I will :)

Those four are from their Christmas line and are all $1.98 on their website, if you are interested in trying them.
Two products that were included in the gift set that were not from their Christmas line:

Description from box insert:
"Bathe in sweet, fragrant pinkness with an explosion of confetti hearts"
This is something that I have tried before because it has been around forever. I can't remember if I loved it or not (It was years ago) so I will write a review once I have used it again.

Isn't it cute?
Description from the box insert:
"Superbly softening sophisticated strawberry ice-cream bath bomb."

My pictures are horrible because they were taken on an iPhone. I could have taken the pictures from the website but I didn't want anyone to think that I didn't REALLY buy these products. I am not advertising for Lush in anyway and did not receive these products as compensation for this post from Lush.

I am writing about Lush because I am absolutely in love with their products and I think that you will be too if you give them a try!

For those of you who have tried Lush before, what did you think? Do you have favorite products?

My favorites will be in a post coming sometime next week :)

Mark Flawless Touch Foundation.. Usually mixed with a moisturizer. Some times I use Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. It all depends on how much coverage I need

I use my Mark foundation as concealer when I use my mineral foundation. When I use a liquid foundation, I don't use concealer.

Nope.
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I use them for special events. My make up artist that does my make up for those types of things is such an expert with them. They look natural but amazing.

Sometimes. Most of the time I just don't think it is necessary.

Both. It depends on my mood, the time of day, and where I am going.

Yes, I do it a good bit. I think it is important to go without make up when you can. Give your skin time to breathe!
Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Yes, but I prefer myself with make up on.
In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I couldn't even try to answer this because my make up collection is piecey. What I mean by that is that one piece will be from Bare Minerals, another from Revolon, Dior, Philosophy. There is never a time that I have on all of one brand,

What do you think of Makeup??

I absolutely love it. It allows women to feel good about themselves and love the way that they look when they need a pick me up!

Skin Care Update

I haven't written in a few days because I really haven't had anything good to write about. Work has been exhausting! Every day when I come home I all but fall into bed! I have to be at work soon but I did want to  give you guys an update on my skin care products that I have been using.
It come with four different products.
1. Purity Cleanser- It is gentle but MELTS your make up away. You can use it on your eyes as well. Love this cleanser.
2. When Hope Is Not Enough Firming Serum- You use five to six drops of this and massage into your face. The only thing bad I can say about this is that it does not smell good at all. However the smell goes away when you use...
3. Hope In A Jar Moisturizer- This covers the smell of the serum and is super thin and hydrating. I like moisturizers that aren't thick.. I don't want to feel like I am putting on foundation.. This one is just what I wanted.
4. Hope in a Tube Eye and Mouth Cream- I only use this around my eyes because I am scared it will break the area around my mouth out!

Final verdict: I don't know if it is on product specifically or just all of them combined, but my skin is much more smooth and bright. I can see a difference in the way my skin looks and I am extremely happy with this kit.

Ninety Dollars at Ulta...

always buys happiness!

Okay so bright and early this morning (10:00 UGH) we got up and got ready to meet with Bryan at the Biloxi Yacht Club about possibly having out reception there. We loved it, and we're  signing  papers next week! SWEET!

So after we went to lunch (Newks.. YUMO) I stopped at Ulta and would up getting the Make Up Optional Skin care kit pictured in one the posts down below. I also got the Mad As A Hatter OPI nail polish from the Alice in Wonderland line.

Review Time!
When I got home and had to try out the skin care kit and I really think I will like it.. After using it my face felt tingly and I wasn't sure if I liked it. When I went back in the bathroom to grab my nail polish though, I glanced in the mirror and was taken aback at how much brighter my skin looked already!
I was pretty impressed and I am going to continue to keep using this kit for now.

Nail Polish: This nail polish has every color in the world in it and pictures don't do it justice.  I feel like I am thirteen again because of how glittery it is. It is fun and different though and I like that.
This is what it looks like with two coats on:
I know, I know, you can't see that well but at least it gives you an idea. It has a lot of purple, green, and silver in it. Very Mardi Gras!
Anyway, off to take a nap before work!

Philosophy Beauty

Wow I am aggravated! Okay so I have been searching for a kit to get my skin into wedding shape and tonight I decided on Philosophy Make Up Optional Kit. QVC was running a special of four easy payments online but I waited around twenty minutes and when I went back to purchase it, the four easy payment option was gone. That is so aggravating. I guess that I will try to wait a few days just to see if it comes back.

Here is a picture:

I am very excited about these products. I have tried the purity cleanser before and liked it a lot so I am hoping I will like all of the products.

Cross your fingers that it comes back on EZ pay!
